REMO in Bonda language means “Human being..The Bonda men and women are the only race in the world who proudly pronounces them as “REMO.

The play REMO revolves around a civilized young person from the plain land gets a job as government teacher in Bonda highland which is remote, inaccessible and impenetrable. The young person with an eyeful of dream and dedication lends himself in Bonda hills to architect change and bring in reforms which he thinks is dire need in Bonda society.

The bonda society heartily welcomes the teacher and soon he fall in love with the land and with a beautiful bonda woman called Gurang. Like, any other society, the bonda also reacts viciously and force the teacher to marry Gurang…the teacher marries Gurang, and one day finds himself on a crossroad- the person who was determined to   reform the tribe…. consciously accept and admires the Bonda value of simplicity, culture and becomes REMO…a human being..
